The Chicago Blackhawks have traded 6′ 1” 205-pound center Marty Reasoner to the Florida Panthers in exchange for 6′ 3” 207-pound winger Jeff Taffe.
Marty Reasoner (to Florida):
Drafted in the 1st round (14th overall) by the St. Louis in the 1996 NHL entry draft Reasoner has played for four NHL Clubs (Blues, Oilers, Bruins, Thrashers.) Reasoner played in 80 NHL games last year with the Thrashers Goals (4), Assists (13) +/(-3) bringing his career totals to Goals (82), Assists (141), +/(-8) in 624 NHL games.

Jeff Taffe (to Chicago): Drafted in the 1st round (30th overall) by St. Louis in the 2000 NHL entry level draft Taffe has played for four different NHL Clubs (Coyotes, Penguins, Rangers, Panthers.) He laced up for 21 NHL games with the Panthers last season Goals (1), Assists (1) and a +/(-1) bringing his career stats to Goals (21), Assists (23) and +/(-22) in 174 NHL games.
